Solutions For Infertility

The race was on as soon as I made the decision to hae a child of my own. I knew it was the right time to get pregnant once I found the man of my dreams and we talked about how great having a baby would be. We want our children to have more than we did growing up, have family outings, and be guided to greatness.

Since I have finally decided that I want to get pregnant, it is not happening easily. All my friends got pregnant when they were around 18-21 and here I was at 26 trying to rush before I turned 30. I am glad that I waited and got to enjoy being a teenager, young adult and being 21 and having plenty of time to experience the bar scene but then I seemed to be rushing myself because I didn’t want to have a baby after 30 for a fear of birth defects. Just in case I had problems conceiving, I wanted to make sure I gave myself enough time to allow for an infertility solution if I had to.

In the middle of `too young’ and that of `higher risk age for pregnancy’, the age of twenty-six appeared to the ideal age. After the first month of trying passed us I was actually shocked to learn I was not pregnant. I soon realized after some research that the best way to get pregnant is to track your ovulation.

Based on your messtrual cycle, tests at drug stores and online calculators can be used to estimate the best dates for conceiving. After I began to follow my ovulation cycle I was able to get pregnant and thus began my adventure into motherhood. I now have a happy, healthy beautiful son and my husband and I are planning our first family vacation this year.

Having a baby is a life changing decision and I am glad I made the choice but my advice to others would be to make sure you have a loving, dependable partner and that you are both on the same page in your desires as a family. Parenthood is best experienced as a team!
